To the President of the International Olympic committee,

Mr. Jacques Rogge ,

 

Dear President of the IOC,

                                             

I felt the need to write this letter to strongly complain about the non-mention of my country, Greece yesterday in your opening speech at the Olympic stadium in London.

If Greece did not exist and the Olympic Games, too, then many of you would be unemployed as there are  many unemployed today, in Greece and all around the world.

It is a disgrace to the Olympic movement, not to mention Greece in your speech and the hypocrisy of the international Olympic committee on sensitivities   that are constantly being degraded.

Not even a word about  Greece, the Birth place were the Olympics were born.

It’s a shame for all of you trying not to remember that Greece is the owner of the Olympic Legacy, the Olympic flame, the Olympic spirit and everything related to the Olympic games in general .

Too many letters in Media with anger but without any kind of intention of sounding ungrateful but everybody must respect Greece and the Greek people.

Journalists, Tv channels like BBC  and many others are continuing to remove the right that Greece has to be praised and to treat as it really deserves.

Stop being so big hypocrites against a vast country that gave the universal values ​​and culture in the world.
History  is not counted in the markets and interest rates but in the hearts of people,the ideas and the spirit of any culture like the Greek one.

The reason I disagree is that London Olympic games ceremony was a disaster. The Abandoned, derelict, covered in graffiti and rubbish is what has left of Athens' £9billion Olympic 'glory' is a true fact and it is a shame for the glorious history of my country, Greece. Greek people are very proud that Athens 2004 was the best ever Olympics in modern history .Corrupted Politicians and corruption in general is spiritual or moral impurity or deviation from an ideal such as the Olympic principles.Millions of illegal immigrants in Greece ,(about 4 millions) cannot transported in other countries like UK and other European countries that are now eat the flesh of Greece due to Dublin2 arrangement.

Could you please tell me the relation between industrial transformation revolution and the OLYMPIC RINGS ?

That’s the reason why I strongly believe that the show yesterday was :

"VERY EXPENSIVE AS A SHOW AND
VERY CHEAP AS AN OLYMPIC SPIRITUAL LEGACY".

So, to critisise what is happening in Greece and Athens ,is very easy if you do not know the real facts.

It is different to write or tell about Athens Olympics by compined the situation in Greece today and the London Opening ceremony yesterday night.
Yes it was Brilliant ,Great ,Huge show but it was only a show.
Nothing about Greece, the country were the Olympic games were born and nothing about Olympic ideas and principles except the tremendous commercialization of the Games and the fireworks that convert even dirtier parts into something extraordinary.

IT IS SOMETHING MORE THAN A SHOW ,TECH ACHIVEMENTS AND FIREWORKS.....
OLYMPIC GAMES , OLYMPISM AND OLYMPIC SPIRIT IS GREECE AND LOVE WORLDWIDE.
OLYMPIC GAMES IS MUCH MORE THAN A HOLLYWOODIAN SHOW .
AND AFTER THIS "SHOW" - FAKED OLYMPIC OPENING CEREMONY ,NOW ITS TIME FOR YOU AND ENGLISH PEOPLE TO SPEND YOUR SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN GREECE !
