Two people have been shot outside the Houses of Parliament.

The building has been put on lockdown, with the House of Commons suspended and MPs ordered to...



 stay in the chamber or in their offices.

A police officer is reportedly down and CPR is being performed, after three or four shots were fired within the gates of New Palace Yard.

Reports from inside the House of Commons suggest a second man is being held on the ground with a knife to his throat

Armed police were seen running towards the exit of the Parliamentary estate.
